Synopsis - Taare Zameen Par, also known in English as Like Stars on Earth, is a 2007 Indian Hindi-language drama film produced and directed by Aamir Khan. The film also stars Darsheel Safary, Tanay Chheda, Vipin Sharma and Tisca Chopra alongside Khan. The film explores the life and imagination of a 9-year-old boy, Ishaan (Safari), who, despite excelling in art, has poor academic performance, which leads his parents to send him to a boarding school, where a new art teacher appears. Nikumbh (Khan) suspects that he is dyslexic and helps him to overcome his reading disorder.
A recipient of several accolades, Taare Zameen Par was India's official entry for the Best Foreign Film at the 81st Academy Awards, but did not advance further. At the 55th National Film Awards, it won 3 awards – Best Film on Family Welfare, Best Lyrics (Prasoon Joshi for "Maa") and Best Male Playback Singer (Shankar Mahadevan for "Maa"). At the 53rd Filmfare Awards, it received 11 major nominations, including Best Actor (Safari), Best Supporting Actor (Aamir Khan) and Best Supporting Actress (Chopra), and Best Film, Best Director (Aamir Khan) and Best Lyricist.

Shiva (Aamir Khan) is blessed with magical snake-charming powers. When he meets Paro (Juhi Chawla) from a nearby village, he falls head-over-heels in love with her. She is also attracted to him. But Paro's father, Choudhry Charanjit Singh, is not pleased with this match, and he hires men to subdue and kill Shiva, all in vain. Little to Shiva's knowledge, during his childhood, his father attacked and killed a shape-shifting snake in order to fulfill his greed, earning the wrath of the snake's powerful mother who promises to exact revenge. Shiva was bitten, and thought deceased, his family lovingly sent his body afloat a river to which was discovered by Shiva's adoptive Father and revived.

He was then brought back to life with the help for black magic and adopted by baba, who also teaches him about black magic. Their town has a ritual where on naag panchami, whosoever kidnaps a girl and takes her to his house, they can marry them.

Synopsis - Taare Zameen Par, also known in English as Like Stars on Earth, is a 2007 Indian Hindi-language drama film produced and directed by Aamir Khan. The film also stars Darsheel Safary, Tanay Chheda, Vipin Sharma and Tisca Chopra alongside Khan. The film explores the life and imagination of a 9-year-old boy, Ishaan (Safari), who, despite excelling in art, has poor academic performance, which leads his parents to send him to a boarding school, where a new art teacher appears. Nikumbh (Khan) suspects that he is dyslexic and helps him to overcome his reading disorder.
A recipient of several accolades, Taare Zameen Par was India's official entry for the Best Foreign Film at the 81st Academy Awards, but did not advance further. At the 55th National Film Awards, it won 3 awards – Best Film on Family Welfare, Best Lyrics (Prasoon Joshi for "Maa") and Best Male Playback Singer (Shankar Mahadevan for "Maa"). At the 53rd Filmfare Awards, it received 11 major nominations, including Best Actor (Safari), Best Supporting Actor (Aamir Khan) and Best Supporting Actress (Chopra), and Best Film, Best Director (Aamir Khan) and Best Lyricist.

"Varsha Oberoi is an orphan who lives a wealthy lifestyle with her uncle, Jain Oberoi, in Bombay, and has traveled worldwide. Viju lives near Panji, Goa, with his poor mother who teaches music to make a living. Mary, sister of a rich landlord David comes home from Bombay to visit her family during her vacations. The two characters fall in love with each other. On getting to know this, David beats Mary black-and-blue and plans to get her married . During these events, David violates his maid and cleanly gets away with it. But this earns him his wife's wrath, and she tries to help Mary unite with Viju against the wishes of David.
David then attempts to kill both Viju and Mary with the help of the villagers, as he feels the only punishment that they deserve for loving each other, is death. Bhagat Ram lives a wealthy lifestyle in a small village in India, along with his son, Shyam, who is an Advocate in Bombay and makes a living as a Hindu Priest. He receives a marriage proposal from Choudhury Bishan Swaroop Singh for Shyam, the girl in question is Bishan's son-in-law, Raju's sister, Shobha. Hoping to get a dowry of fifty thousand rupees, he agrees and the marriage takes place. After the ceremony, he is handed a promissory note and angered, he and Shyam return home, leaving a devastated Shobha and the Singh family to deal with this crisis. Raju takes some cash and jewelry, hoping to placate Bhagat, but this only angers him all the more. Shyam decides to leave for Bombay. After the court judgment Narayan Shrivastav was very happy but he didn't know that his brother Sajjan thirsty for money wants to kill him while they were travelling back to their home Sajjan kills Narayan after returning hone he sheds crocodile tears but Krishna knowing that his uncle Sajjan is not a good person doesn't wants to stay with him and says that he wants to stay with his late mother's friend and his school teacher Saraswati Devi. At the midnight Sajjan sends a goon to kill Krishna but by mistake the goon takes the child of Saraswati Devi and throw him in the river but luckily the inspector arrives there looking for some drug dealers and see a goon throwing something in the river when he goes to check he finds an unconscious child so he takes him to the hospital. While here on the other side Saraswati Devi thinking his son Suraj is Dead leaves for an other city with her daughter Jyoti and Krishna. Now Saraswati looks after Krishna and Jyoti. Time flies and Krishna falls in love with his college friend Madhu. Sajjan's son Raghu turns to become a local goonda, protected by his dad by bribing the local police. Jyoti is raped and murdered by Raghu and his pals, and they also run over Saraswati rendering her crippled. Both Krishna and Saraswati swear to avenge Jyoti's death. Then Suraj re-enters their lives, as a police inspector, and is bent on arresting Krishna by hook or by crook, casting doubts whether he is or not on the pay-roll of Sajjan.

The film opens at the municipal building and construction department office (Mumbai, India). The superintendent of the office, Thakur, gets a telephone call from the industrialist Ranbir Gupta. Ranbir asks if his construction permits have been approved. Thakur is flustered, but informs him that a newly appointed clerk in his office is holding up the file.
The film introduces the new clerk, Kimtilal Saxena (Kadar Khan). When an ordinary guy approaches him with plans to extend the perimeter of his home (and, in accordance with prevalent practice, offers him a bribe), Kimtilal flatly refuses. The guy insists, so Kimtilal asks him to send up a cup of tea (with 2 spoonfuls of sugar) from the small shop opposite the office. The guy approaches the tea stall run by the eccentric tea vendor Kutti (Johny Lever), only to discover that each spoonful of sugar is 200 rupees (the bribe for Kimtilal). The guy is surprised, but Kutti explains that one must change with the times. The guy pays Kutti and duly gets his permits. Kimtilal settles accounts with Kutti every evening, and that Kutti receives a small cut. The money trail touches everyone at the office.

Thakur is a rich and wealthy man. He has two sons, the elder is Ram, who is married but frequents a prostitute Munnibai. The second son is Bharat, who is unmarried, and is good, virtuous and devoted to his family, and expected to marry Roopa. While disciplining his elder son, Thakur has a heart attack and passes away, leaving the administration of the estate to his younger son and daughter-in-law, the wife of Ram, Gayatri. This does not augur well with Ram and Mamaji, and they attempt to force Bharat to sign the estate over to them. When they fail, they conspire to kill him and take over the estate from Gayatri. Bharat overhears this and goes along with Ram's plan to kill him. He then returns as Daku Mangal Singh, his look-alike, in order to set things right. Things seem to be going well until Bharat finds himself in a tight corner when he is accused of faking his own death.
